Archery

There is no greater skill than shooting a bow to increase you eye hand coordination. And when kids learn skills their minds and confidence grows. What a great way for Fathers to spend quality time with their children. Every year the Rocky Mountain Bowmen Club sponsor several events in Leadville to promote the sport. The David Lucero Memorial Fathers Day 3D Shoot will take place June 20-21 at the Rocky Mountain Bowmen Club Range. This competitive 3D archery shoot features 14 divisions, including pro, two scored ranges, one fun range, sight-in range, team challenge shoot, food vendor, picnic area, playground, Colorado Bowhunters Association merchandise, camping area, door prizes and more! They also hold a Snowshoe and Shoot competition in March. The archery range is located south of Leadville at the end of County Road 23A. Turn south off of Highway 24 at the airport exit, and follow the signs. The range is operated and maintained by the Rocky Mountain Bowmen Archery Club.
