Leadville Ranger District- Bring the mountain bikes for the whole family. The trails are great! There are no permits, fees, or registrations required for individuals. Groups are required to obtain a permit. In some areas, such as designated Wilderness Areas, mountain bikes are prohibited.

Pipeline to Twin Lakes Loop- Distance 32.4 miles.This is a great loop moderate in length that for Lake County is quite flat. Limited climbing on the Colorado Trail early in the ride will lead to a great descent into Twin Lakes.

Crane Park to Camp Hale- Distance 22.8 miles. This is a great 20+ mile ride - one of the best in the area. This can be looped, out-and-backed, or shuttled from either Camp Hale or Crane Park/Tennessee Pass area.

Camp Hale to Holy Cross- Distance 27.3 miles.This is a high alpine excursion on a section of the Colorado Trail not commonly ridden. Since the bike-able portion of the trail ends at the Holy Cross Wilderness boundary, most people ride around the wilderness area and skip this section of trail.

St. Kevin-Distance 7.5 miles. St. Kevin is a two track gravel road that is the first climb in the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race. The road begins off of County Road 9 and ends at the location of the Carter Summit aid station back on County Road 9.

Turquoise Lake Single- Distance 6.3 miles. This is usually ridden as an out and back. Park at the dam and ride the trail along the lake to May Queen Campground. It`s a great trail to acclimatize on due to little elevation gain and nice climbs.
